Hey Again Y’all!

Our adventures traveling across Texas in search of better hearing aids continue. At first, I thought Lou was crazy for thinking that the best way to find low cost hearing aids was to visit every store in the state of Texas that sells hearing aids. Now, I've gotten pretty attached to the idea of zooming from Sunset Valley to Cedar Park to find the best hearing aid brands and solutions. The list we've come up with is over there to the left on this page.

By our second day in Austin, we had already visited Round Rock, Oak Hill, Georgetown, and Leander. Our next stop was Pfluggervile... uh... pufflooooger?... no, it was Pflugerville. Between the odd spelling and Lou's hearing trouble, we argued over the correct pronunciation for half an hour (of course I won the argument, as far as I'm concerned). The locals just laughed at us as we stopped someone on the street to ask.

Our search for hearing aids in the Austin area was nearly ground to a halt when we saw the sign that we were about to get to Bee Caves. I'm scared to death of those little bees! Lou had to calm me down big time before I would let him take us into town any further. Sometimes I swear he just takes the batteries out of his Siemens hearing aids for a few minutes so he doesn't have to listen to me when I get like that. Nah... it's probably just my imagination!

Our last day driving around Austin and Round Rock looking for hearing aid stores took us right by the capitol. I'm not sure if it was the hearing loss, or the politicians... but all I could hear coming out of that dome was the dull roar of hot air! If you know what I mean :)
